The focus of the Final Project
This course will culminate with the creation of a strategic plan for a company with which you are familiar. The Final Project should demonstrate an understanding of the reading assignments as well as the application of acquired knowledge. Your ten to twelve-page paper, not including title and reference pages, should apply scholarly research, course readings and class discussions to your work and life experience. Use examples and explanations from scholarly resources to support your strategic plan.
The focus of the Final Project will be on developing a strategy to maximize the a company’s performance and profitability in the market. There should be readily available information on the firm that you choose. You may want to choose a firm with which you are personally familiar, perhaps the firm for which you work. Please keep in mind that there is usually more information available for large multinational corporations than for small businesses. Whichever business you choose, be sure that strategic and financial information about the company is available to you.
